Agreed on collabs. I don't host them. I get invited to them for some reason, despite being one of the least consistent people. I guess it's people, who are inconsistent themselves, that invite me. I'd like to add that to make a good consistent collab, the person who leads the collab should be well known for their way of making remixes, so people joining know what to do. Otherwise, you get a chaos. My stylistic choices for remixes randomly range from "generic 2010 style" to "generic 2017 style", so I shouldn't host stuff. Despite that, I still like being in the inconsistent collabs, because I get to experience the chaos. My goal isn't to be seen as a "good remixer" by the "community" but to just make stuff for fun. Sometimes, making things good is part of fun and sometimes randomness and chaos is. More little things... 1:30 I don't monetize any of my videos (I have job too). Trying to make money of off something leads to following trends, which can be good, but I want my interest in SR to remain pure. The community will change but I don't have to. 0:55 That's exactly it. Make your own decision if don't care about making money. Having variance is good. Plus some of my (or other people's) most popular remixes, even the recent ones, don't follow the "times". This is something people should think about. 2:45 I don't get that humor either. Large SR Discord servers suck anyway. It's like the collab chaos expect it isn't funny. A lot of people try to achieve more with their remixes and collabs and are serious about that. To me, seriousness in a hobby is a freaking joke. You will be learning from stuff anyway when having fun. I just make stuff without too much care. Even the software I make is part of the fun - I try to make it good, but I don't follow all good practices (I'm implementing them more in the upcoming version though). I call my approach to hobbies the "mature immaturity" and it makes life more enjoyable.
